University of Southern California (USC) seeks a Laboratory Technician to assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist by performing routine specimen processing and analysis under direct supervision at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in the Foothills area of Los Angeles. The role includes automated analysis, instrument checks, calibration, and quality control, plus clerical duties and external communications.

Required: AA degree with 60 semester units of clinical coursework and a 6‑month externship; valid

Formación

• AA degree with 60 semester units of clinical courses plus a 6‑month externship.
• Must hold a valid state license for MLT.
• Continuing education: 24 CE units biannually and license fees as required by CDPH, CCR Title 17, 1032.5; BPC 1260.3.

Responsabilidades

• Assist CLS by processing specimens and performing routine analysis under direct supervision.
• Possibly perform routine automated analysis, instrument checks, calibration, maintenance and QC under supervision.
• Handle clerical duties such as taking calls and communicating with outside laboratories as needed.
