Job summary

Alta Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform standard and highly specialized analyses across Chemistry, Immunology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology and Blood Bank. You ensure accuracy, reliability and timely reporting of patient results used for diagnosis and treatment.

This role requires California CLS licensure, strong communication skills, ability to work variable shifts, and proficiency with lab computer systems.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure as a CLS License in the State of California.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science/Biological Science or Equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• The CLS performs laboratory testing, quality control measures, and distribution of test results accurately and timely.
• Adheres to quality control policies and documents calibrations and maintenance.
• Participates in process improvement and ensures regulatory standards are followed.
• Empathizes with patients and communicates with care and professionalism.
