• Baccalaureate Degree in medical technology or related science required.
• Must meet and maintain California licensure requirements for one of the following.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist or one of the Limited Clinical Laboratory Scientist options: Chemistry, Hematology/Urinalysis, Transfusion Service, Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Performs a range of standard and technically demanding procedures and analysis on patient specimens in one or more clinical laboratory disciplines.
• Recognizes critical findings, reports test results, and maintains records of patient tests.
• Performs calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and adheres to quality control protocols.
• Monitors accuracy and precision of tests and participates in continuing education programs.
