Responsibilities

• Perform all instruments and testing methods applicable to the assigned role in accordance with CLIA requirements after orientation and competency assessment.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, test analysis, and reporting of patient results.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document all QC activities, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisors or directors as needed.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
