CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist for PRN, 4p-midnight shifts, two shifts weekly. The role spans hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and more, performing tests, operating instruments, and ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The incumbent will analyze specimens, report results, maintain quality control, and support timely clinical decisions with strong problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.

Formación

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in biological or chemical science per CLIA rules.
• Certifications in relevant laboratory disciplines may be required at hire.
• Experience across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and regulatory adherence skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs waived, moderately complex, and highly complex tests on patient specimens with accurate reporting.
• Provides clinical correlation, notifies caregivers of critical values, and maintains turnaround times.
• Ensures major automated equipment is operational, calibrates, and troubleshoots as needed.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and records results.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with lab leaders.
• Assists in evaluating and documenting new procedures and equipment validation.
