Qualifications

• Certification: Generalist MLS/MT certification options by ASCP BOC or AMT; categorical/specialist certifications acceptable for higher-graded positions in relevant labs; provisions for non-certified applicants to pursue certification.
• Grandfathering: Employees in VA lab roles on the effective date may be considered to meet qualification requirements with certain conditions.
