Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field
• Certification eligible: MLS/MT or equivalent as per ASCP BOC or AMT
• NAACLS/CAAHEP accredited program completion required or in progress

Responsibilities

• Properly collect, handle, accession, and label specimens according to safety and identification policies
• Instruct and support hospital personnel on laboratory procedures
• Evaluate specimen suitability and request new specimens if needed
• Prepare specimens for analysis and maintain sample integrity
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure quality control
• Document results and maintain accurate records for accreditation
