Indian Health Service is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized testing across multiple disciplines to support American Indian communities. You will interpret results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.

Eligible applicants must meet education requirements and may be subject to federal background checks and immunization policies. This role is based in South Dakota and requires in-person work at an IHS facility.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology or NAACLS-accredited program.
• One year of specialized experience at GS-07 level or equivalent.
• Proficient in performing routine and specialized clinical lab testing across multiple disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular diagnostics, immunology, and immunohematology.
• Collect, prepare, and evaluate patient specimens with proper handling and documentation.
• Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff and participate in QA activities.
