Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests. Analyze test results and ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate and implement new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost-benefit analysis, and revenue potential. Inform management of findings.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage assigned projects, including planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and reporting progress.
• Maintain quality control, including running controls, data evaluation, documentation, and corrective actions. Communicate QC information to supervisors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions. Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Licenses and certifications: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification waived for those with over 10 years of lab experience.
