Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity laboratory tests as authorized by CLIA and document results.
• Adhere to laboratory procedures, quality control policies, and corrective actions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments; ensure accuracy of patient results; review results before reporting.
• Recognize age-specific reference ranges and coordinate with other labs as needed.
• Assist in developing and maintaining laboratory policies and procedures; follow safety and infection control protocols.
• May serve as Lead Tech in supervisor’s absence and handle LIS/POC responsibilities.
