Job summary

Qualifications

• Louisiana requires State Licensure and current certification if applicable.
• New graduates may qualify if Board Certified/eligible; must complete certification within 1 year in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex lab procedures and reports results.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots lab instruments; reports issues as needed.
• Cross-trains to other lab sections as needed.
• Ensures compliance with quality control programs and documentation.
• Utilizes the Laboratory Information System for data entry and reporting.
• Collects and handles specimens with attention to pediatric volumes when required.
• Participates in development and implementation of new testing procedures.
