Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in assigned sections.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation.
• Cross-trains to other sections as needed.
• Ensures quality control program compliance and documentation.
• Calculates, enters, or verifies results; reports findings.
• Utilizes the Laboratory Information System for data entry and results.
• Notifies and documents critical laboratory values.
• Handles patient specimens with attention to pediatric volumes where required.
• Participates in developing or updating testing procedures and protocols.
• Adapts patient care duties to populations served; adheres to CHRISTUS Health CORE values.
