Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests.
• Analyze test results, demonstrating knowledge of pathological processes and correlating disease states with test outcomes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions.
• Conduct quality control procedures, evaluate data, document findings, and communicate relevant information to supervisors or lead techs.
• Take responsibility for personal development, complete competency checklists, and meet skill acquisition timelines.
• Provide technical information about test results to physicians, nurses, and patients, acting as a resource to colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of clinical lab experience, OR
• Associate's Degree from an accredited MLT training program, OR
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited CLS program.
