Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Indiana seeks an MT/MLT to follow procedures for specimen handling, perform analyses and review results. You will maintain proficiency testing records and ensure QA/QC across instruments such as Sysmex XN, CS 2500, Vitros 5600 and LIS systems.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree and national MT/MLT certification, with solid laboratory testing knowledge. The position requires flexibility for a 1500–2230 Central time shift and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related science with clinical experience.
• Eligibility for MT/MLT certification (ASCP or AMT).
• Experience with high complexity testing preferred.
• Knowledge of QC/QA and lab safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow lab procedures for specimen handling and processing and report results.
• Maintain records proving proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved procedures and review results before release.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Maintain quality control and instrument calibrations, document maintenance.
• Identify and report issues affecting test performance.
