Hunterdon Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform high-complexity testing and participate in quality control and reporting. The MLS will follow established specimen handling, analysis, and documentation procedures to support accurate patient results.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or related field, with eligibility for ASCP/AMT registry. New grads are welcome; prior hospital lab training preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Completion of accredited clinical laboratory training program or U.S. Military Laboratory Specialist Course.
• ASCP or AMT registry eligible (defined as degree plus clinical laboratory experience).
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT Certification.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Minimum: at least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Follows lab procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and recording results.
• Maintains records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient samples.
• Adheres to Quality Control policies and documents calibrations and maintenance.
• Follows policies when test systems exceed acceptable performance levels.
• Identifies problems affecting test performance and notifies supervisor or director.
• Documents corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
