Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our accredited laboratory team. The role supports hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology testing to ensure timely, accurate results.

You will perform high-complexity tests, follow QA/QC procedures, maintain instruments, and document corrective actions. A California license and at least one year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological/chemical sciences from an accredited institution.
• Requires current and valid California State License.
• Minimum one year of work experience performing high complexity testing in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, or microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity tests in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Adhere to QA/QC policies and document corrective actions taken.
• Ensure accuracy of patient results prior to reporting.
• May be assigned lead responsibilities during a shift in absence of a supervisor.
