Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity testing, and analyze test results for accuracy.
• Evaluate and recommend new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost, and revenue considerations.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage projects by developing plans, coordinating resources, setting timelines, and updating management on progress.
• Practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, documenting, and taking corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
• Licenses and Certificates: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification waived for those with over 10 years of lab experience.
