Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise to clinic staff on laboratory and safety
• Perform as Clinic Laboratory Technical Consultant and Safety Consultant
• Ensure that all duties are properly performed and applicable CLIA regulations are met
• Ensure that clinic laboratory develops and uses a quality system approach to testing that provides accurate and reliable patient test results
• Ensure testing systems in the laboratory provide quality services in all aspects of test performance
• Ensure that employees are safe from physical, chemical, and biological hazard
• Accurately maintain records
• Effectively communicate with management and all laboratory personnel
• Stays abreast of current technology
• Participates in laboratory, safety, and regulatory continuing education programs
• Adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
• Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
