Job summary

American Health Associates, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Manager in Pinellas Park, FL to oversee a high-volume laboratory and lead a team of supervisors, technologists, and staff to deliver accurate patient testing.

You will ensure CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance, drive quality initiatives, and manage budgets while fostering a collaborative, patient-focused environment. The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and diagnostic quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory, chemical or biological science required
• Current Florida Supervisor license in the specialty
• ASCP certification (MLS, MT, or equivalent) required
• Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and accreditation standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a high-volume clinical laboratory
• Lead, develop, and mentor laboratory supervisors, technologists, technicians, and phlebotomists
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
• Monitor quality control, proficiency testing, and QA programs
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity and performance management
• Collaborate with physicians and clients to ensure exceptional service
• Manage laboratory budgets, inventory, and expenses
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of personnel
