Job summary

Healthcare Recruiters International is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager / Laboratory Supervisor to lead a high-complexity clinical lab focused on molecular diagnostics, PGx, pathology, and advanced diagnostic testing in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations, staffing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance while mentoring staff and driving continuous process improvement to deliver high-quality patient results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical science field (e.g., MLS, Biology, Molecular Biology).
• Qualified to serve as Technical Supervisor under CLIA (preferred).
• 5+ years in a high-complexity clinical lab with 2+ years in supervision/management.
• Experience in molecular diagnostics, PCR, PGx, pathology, or genomics is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, staffing, workflow, and quality assurance programs.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and applicable standards.
• Supervise and mentor lab personnel, maintaining competency and productivity.
• Support assay validation, QC, proficiency testing, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership and pathologists to ensure accurate, timely patient results.
