Clinical Laboratory Assistant - Phlebotomy

Overview

• Performs patient phlebotomy maintaining high customer service standards. Collects, labels, and processes specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and data entry. Monitors supply levels.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment. Handles customer inquiries and resolves issues. Interacts with hospital and physician staff. May perform EKG and use glucose meters, possibly at the patient's bedside.

Minimum Requirements

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or Course, or 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
