Job summary
Unified Women’s Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Lab Technician/Technologist to perform moderate and high complexity testing across chemistry, immunoassay, infectious disease, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank areas. You’ll document QA/QC, assist with instrument maintenance, and report results through the LIS.
The role requires 1 year of lab testing experience and an accredited associate degree; a bachelor’s is preferred, with MLS/MT certification being a plus.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required in Clinical Laboratory Sciences/Medical Technology or related.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Clinical Laboratory Sciences/Medical Technology or related.
- Minimum 1 year of testing experience in clinical laboratory testing (chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank).
- Certification as MLS/MT from a recognized certifying agency preferred.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform, evaluate, interpret, and report results for chemistry, immunoassay, infectious disease, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank testing.
- Follow laboratory procedures to maintain safety, quality, and compliance.
- Label patient specimens correctly and maintain proper documentation.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
- Document quality control activities and report deviations to supervisors.
