Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or Biological Science is required.
• A Louisiana CLS license is required; license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• New graduates or new Louisiana residents must be eligible for and actively pursuing a Louisiana State license.
• A clinical internship in an approved hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or special clinical laboratory tests in one or more sections of the laboratory using automated equipment, manual testing, and microscopic analysis.
• Interact professionally with patients, hospital staff, and health team members; participate in performance improvement activities.
