Job summary

One Brooklyn Health System is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform and interpret routine diagnostic tests across microbiology, virology, serology, chemistry, immunohematology and hematology. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory technology from NYS-reg program.
• New York State Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• No experience required but must possess license.
• Procedures performed must be performed according to laboratory specifications.

Responsibilities

• May work independently and may approve the work of technicians when requested.
• Conduct routine microbiological laboratory procedures in all pertinent areas.
• Test and repeat tests when results are questionable and inform the Supervisor.
• Maintain safety and log books; sign reports for assays performed.
• Promote good public relations with patients and hospital staff.
