Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist in Belpre, OH. The role focuses on specimen testing, operating multiple laboratory instruments, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with QC and instrument procedures.

Responsibilities include obtaining samples, performing calibrations, and supporting off-site locations. Training of staff and maintaining supplies are required, with a goal of upholding high standards of confidentiality and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Board certification eligible; national certification preferred.
• Licensure as appropriate for the WV site when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen testing (manual and automated) and operate laboratory instruments.
• Obtain specimens for analysis and oversee maintenance of equipment.
• Perform QC, calibrations, and proficiency testing as required.
• Review and sign electronic control records; recall results and fax reports as needed.
• Utilize Meditech for site batching and assist with clerical duties as assigned.
• Direct and train students and new lab staff; ensure supplies are stocked.
