Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen testing (manual and automated) and operates laboratory instruments.
• Obtains specimens for analysis in the hospital and at off-site locations.
• Oversees maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and procedures.
• Performs QC, calibrations, and proficiency testing as required by instruments and accreditation guidelines.
• Assists with lab clerical duties including recalling results and reporting to physicians.
• Directs and trains students and new lab employees in procedures and instrument operation.
