Job summary

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Medical Lab Technology required.
Must be Board of Certification eligible; ASCP or equivalent preferred.
WV site requires WV MLT license if applicable.

Responsibilities

Performs specimen testing (manual and automated) and operates laboratory instruments.
Obtains specimens for analysis in hospital and off-site locations.
Oversees maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and procedures.
Performs calibration, linearity, and quality control per instrument guidelines.
Performs proficiency testing in a timely manner.
Reviews and signs electronic document control records as assigned.
Assists with clerical duties including recalling results, faxing reports, and alerting physicians.
