Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• ASCP eligible or other acceptable certification is required or eligible.
• Twelve months of clinical education/training in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Three months on-the-job training to learn hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and inform supervisor of activities, needs and problems.
• Establish own work plan and priorities to complete work per standards.
• Assemble supplies and ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Record, review, certify, and report test results as required.
• Maintain quality control to ensure proper instrument and procedure performance.
• Assist in teaching and training new employees.
