Qualifications

• Florida State License required with renewal education
• Bachelor's degree preferred for role
• National Certification preferred
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to interpret and analyze information to perform laboratory procedures
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
• Capable of working cooperatively with physicians, patients, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt standard procedures for individual client needs

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests for clinical diagnosis under supervision.
• Maintains safety regulations and quality control on instrumentation and reagents.
• Performs preventive maintenance and calibration of instruments as scheduled.
• Completes proficiency testing and reports results promptly.
• Participates in teaching and rotation shifts for students and staff.
• Reports critical values to patient care personnel within required timeframes.
• Reviews instrumentation, processes, reagents, and storage for daily compliance.
• Ensures PPE is used properly and adheres to regulatory standards.
