Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree preferred.
• National Certification preferred.
• Florida State License is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests for clinical diagnosis following licensing guidelines.
• Maintains quality control on instrumentation and reagents daily.
• Completes preventive maintenance and calibration of instruments.
• Performs proficiency testing and responds to results promptly.
• Teaches procedures to students and staff rotations.
• Reports results within required turnaround time.
• Maintains records for quality control and QA.
• Reports critical values to patient care personnel quickly.
• Reviews processes and implements new test procedures per CAP standards.
• Participates in lean processes overseen by director.
• Ensures proper PPE usage and compliance.
• Reviews instrumentation, processes, and storage daily for compliance.
• Complies with FDA, CAP, DNV, AHCA, CMS, AABB standards.
