Qualifications

• Florida State License is required and license renewal may require continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests for clinical diagnosis.
• Maintains temperatures and performs quality control on instrumentation and reagents.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations on instruments and equipment; maintains cleanliness of instruments and area.
• Performs proficiency testing and reports results promptly.
• Participates in teaching laboratory procedures and staff rotations.
• Performs and reports laboratory tests accurately within required turnaround time.
• Maintains records for quality control/quality improvement.
• Recognizes and reports critical values to patient care personnel.
