McKesson delivers clinical lab services and supports Sarah Cannon Research Institute by performing high-level processing for specimens from patients in clinical trials. The Lab Technician role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and collaboration with research staff.

Based in Orlando, FL, you will manage PK/PD samples, keep logs, utilize EMR for source documentation, and coordinate courier shipments to ensure timely, compliant processing.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training in laboratory processing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Experience with venipuncture and blood processing.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with staff and study sponsors.

Responsabilités

• Initiate improvements to tools, processes and forms to boost lab efficiency.
• Process and ship PK and other samples per sponsor instructions.
• Serve as primary processor and trainer for specified procedures.
• Attend the lab portion of the site initiation visit when possible.
• Maintain accurate freezer logs and sample shipping records.
• Use EMR for source documentation.
• Schedule couriers and ensure dry ice supplies.
• Coordinate with nurses to ensure proper lab kits and specimen collection.
