Job summary

Evolution Research Group is seeking a Lab Assistant in Miami to support Phase 1 clinical trials by collecting and processing specimens, mostly from healthy volunteers. You will assist the Lab Manager with lab sample processing, along with clerical and data-entry duties as needed.

Hours vary by project and may include weekends or early/late shifts. Ideal candidates hold phlebotomy certification or have at least six months of phlebotomy experience, with a preference for clinical research exposure

Qualifications

Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or at least six months of phlebotomy experience in a medical facility.
Clinical Research experience is preferred but not required.
BLS and/or ACLS certification is preferred but not required.
Understand regulatory requirements, GCP and ICH guidelines.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Basic computer skills including Word and Excel and Study Manager.

Responsibilities

Monitor urine collection temperatures and 24-hour specimen collections as assigned.
Maintain sample collection area clean and stocked with supplies.
Notify staff of abnormal results or unusual incidents during collection.
Serve as courier to Pharmacokinetic laboratory for samples.
Ensure participant comfort and safety during duties and shifts.
Create safety lab requisitions and send samples to local labs.
Label PK/PD collection tubes accurately.
Handle additional duties as organizational needs evolve.
