Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington state is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our clinical team. You will perform phlebotomy, run hematology and urinalysis tests, and assist with X-ray and ECG procedures under supervision.

You will ensure accurate reporting, quality control, and patient safety throughout all lab activities. The role requires an Associate’s degree in a relevant science, valid US certification or license, and preferred 1 year of hospital or clinic

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory or physical science.
• US Certification/license is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a hospital or clinic setting is desired.

Responsibilities

• Follows universal precautions for blood drawing and specimen handling.
• Performs and documents hematology, urinalysis, and waived tests per manufacturer instructions.
• Conducts x-ray procedures as ordered and documents results.
• Operates EKG/ECG equipment and ensures proper patient preparation and labeling.
• Performs spirometry testing and maintains equipment.
• Maintains lab inventory and reagents, reports results to providers.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, HIPAA and lab policies.

Education
