Qualifications

• MA-P certification from WA DOH is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; foreign equivalency considered.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.
• Pre-hire competency test is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Universal Precautions during blood collection and handle specimens safely.
• Observe OSHA and HIPAA regulations and maintain patient privacy.
• Greet patients and communicate to keep them calm during procedures.
• Identify patients, label specimens, and collect venipuncture samples accurately.
• Verify test orders in EHR and ensure timely reporting of results.
• Maintain equipment and assist cross-departmental staff as needed.
