UW Medicine Primary Care at Belltown is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician / Phlebotomist to join our downtown Seattle team. You will perform routine and stat lab tests using automated equipment to support timely patient care.

The candidate should be able to obtain WA State DOH Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification within 90 days, possess a High School/GED, and have at least one year of relevant clinical lab experience.

Formación

• Be certified as Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist with Washington State Department of Health within 90 days of hire.
• High School / GED required.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience or training in a clinical laboratory or medical setting.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and stat laboratory tests using automated or semi-automated equipment, kit assays, and microscopic evaluations.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory equipment as needed.
• Performs quality control analyses and ensures results are within established ranges.
• Participates in training and demonstrates routine laboratory techniques to new staff.
• May send out letters to patients with lab results or overdue appointment reminders.
