Job summary

This federal position is located at the Army Health Clinic-South Sound Medical Home in Olympia/Lacey, Washington. The incumbent serves as a Medical Technician in the Clinical Pathology Service, Department of Pathology, and performs a variety of laboratory support functions in support of patient care and diagnostic services.

Salary negotiation may be available for those new to Federal service and ASCP certification is highly preferred to demonstrate advanced competency in clinical laboratory

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience performing clinical laboratory testing and reporting results.
• Experience operating laboratory analyzers and maintaining quality control in clinical pathology sections.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and verify/report results.
• Prepare specimens and conduct phlebotomy as required.
• Maintain quality control across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, urinalysis, and immunology sections.
