Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification from ASCP or AMT or equivalent is required.
• One year of specialized experience in clinical labs, or graduate coursework in related fields.
• Combination of education and experience may qualify if totals reach 100%

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Phlebotomy per regulations.
• Set up computerized equipment with correct patient IDs and programs.
• Prepare specimens and ensure supplies for analysis.
• Evaluate specimens for suitability and request new ones if unusable.
• Calibrate equipment and perform daily quality control.
• Record data in QC/QA logs and perform preventive maintenance.
