Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Laboratory Technician for Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. The role involves waived testing and phlebotomy within the Director ate of Clinical Support and Pathology.

You will work in a military laboratory environment with established SOPs. Responsibilities include operating lab instruments, verifying quality controls, managing the LIS/CIS, and preparing specimens for shipment to the Madigan Main Laboratory.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background investigation and suitability determination.
• Pre-employment drug screening may be required.
• BLS certification is required for this position.
• Immunization requirements including Hepatitis B are applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived-complexity testing and phlebotomy.
• Verify instrument operation using quality control checks.
• Operate laboratory computer system for orders, logging samples, and test results.
• Assess appropriateness of incoming specimens and specimen timing.
• Prepare specimens for shipment to the Madigan Main Laboratory.
