Qualifications

• Maintains technical competency related to the job functions.
• Understands LIS functions and performs downtime procedures effectively.
• Evaluates procedures and selects investigative techniques as needed.
• Identifies and resolves problems that may affect test results and notifies relevant personnel.
• Determines specimen acceptability via visual checks or abnormal results.

Responsibilities

• Documents unacceptable specimens per policy and communicates specimen requirements.
• Assesses job functions and takes action when problems are detected.
• Identifies issues with specimens, test orders, and registration and acts accordingly.
• Handles troubleshooting professionally and communicates delays to coworkers and customers.
• Applies complex problem-solving to resolve clinical and instrument problems.
