Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Birmingham OB-GYN operations in Trussville, AL. The role is Monday–Thursday 7:30 am–4:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am–2:00 pm with some flexibility.

You will determine specimen acceptability, perform routine and complex tests, monitor instrumentation, and ensure accurate reporting to support quality patient care. Strong teamwork and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a chemical or biological science, CLIA compliant.
• One year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Six months or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing per procedures.
• Perform routine and complex procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control.
• Assist with processing specimens as needed.
