Job summary

Luxor Scientific LLC is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform clinical laboratory testing, receive and prepare specimens, and review results with accurate recordkeeping. You will use laboratory analyzers and collaborate with staff and the Laboratory Manager to ensure timely data analysis.

The role requires strong attention to HIPAA privacy, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to train new hires while maintaining inventory and equipment quality within a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
• Ability to think critically and analyze lab data.
• Ability to exercise initiative and problem solving.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, and recordkeeping.
• Performs quality control activities per laboratory policies.
• Reviews results and communicates abnormal or critical findings.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment as needed.
• Adheres to safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Manages inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Trains new hires to ensure procedures are followed.
• Reports to work on time for all shifts and completes scheduled hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
