Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking staff to support core laboratory operations during night shifts. Responsibilities include point of care testing, specimen handling, phlebotomy, and coordination with the testing department to ensure timely results.

Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn safety protocols. Minimal prior AdventHealth experience may be considered; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• English verbal and written communication with patients, staff, and customers.
• Ability to read text and numbers in English and exercise judgment.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Phlebotomy training and blood collection skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform point of care testing, quality control, maintenance, troubleshooting and result reporting.
• Handle clerical and receptionist duties to facilitate department operations.
• Process blood and blood components using a validated system.
• Collect patient information and verify identity and insurance requirements.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood sample collection for all ages.
