Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care's department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking Lab Tech I or II to perform technical and allied duties related to the function of a clinical, environmental, teaching or research laboratory and requiring a limited degree of skill. May use microscopes and other instruments and test equipment to make simple quantitative and qualitative analysis; maintains a laboratory area and equipment.

Schedule : Schedules can vary between the hours of 6:00am-8:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Lab Tech I: One year of related experience, or any combination of related undergraduate courses in physical or natural sciences equivalent to one year of full-time employment.
• Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Lab Tech II: Two years of related laboratory experience including one year as Lab Tech I or equivalent level of experience or Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification, or any combination of related post high school education and experience totaling two years.
