Green Life Science is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support early-phase clinical research in Miami. You will assist in collecting, processing and managing biological samples, ensuring safety and data quality within a collaborative team.

The role involves hands-on lab operations, specimen handling, and coordination with clinical staff to maintain study protocols and compliance. Evening or weekend scheduling may be required based on study needs.

• Phlebotomy certification or practical venepuncture experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling procedures.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic data systems.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with collection, processing, labelling and preparation of clinical samples as per study protocols.
• Monitor timed specimen collections (urine and other samples).
• Maintain lab spaces, equipment and collection areas, ensuring inspection-readiness.
• Prepare laboratory requisitions and coordinate shipment of samples to external labs.
• Transport specimens between clinical and laboratory departments while maintaining chain of custody.
• Complete laboratory documentation and data entry per study procedures and GCP.
• Communicate abnormal findings or deviations to clinical staff promptly.
• Support participant safety, confidentiality and study-related procedures.
• Assist with general lab administration and additional duties as required.

An established clinical research organisation is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support the delivery of early-phase clinical trials. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the collection, processing, labelling and preparation of clinical and pharmacokinetic (PK/PD) specimens according to study protocols.
• Monitor timed biological specimen collections, including urine and other protocol-required samples.
• Maintain laboratory workspaces, equipment and collection areas to ensure they remain organised, stocked and inspection-ready.
• Prepare laboratory requisitions and coordinate shipment of samples to external reference laboratories.
• Transport collected specimens between clinical and laboratory departments while maintaining chain of custody and sample integrity.
• Accurately complete laboratory documentation and data entry in accordance with study procedures and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Promptly communicate abnormal findings, participant concerns or protocol deviations to the appropriate clinical staff.
• Support participant safety, comfort and confidentiality throughout all study-related procedures.
• Assist with general laboratory administration and additional operational duties as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Phlebotomy Technician certification or at least six months’ experience performing venepuncture in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling procedures.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Competency using Microsoft Office applications and electronic data systems.

Desirable

• Previous experience within clinical research or clinical trials.
• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience working with laboratory information or clinical trial management systems.

This role may involve occasional evenings, early mornings, weekends or project-based scheduling depending on study requirements.
