Labcorp in Graham, NC seeks a Laboratory Technician to join our team. The role involves handling specimens, performing routine and advanced testing, and ensuring accurate results to support high-quality patient care.

The position requires an associate degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology, at least one year of lab testing experience, and ASCP/AMT certification. Overtime opportunities may be available.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in a chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification.

Responsabilidades

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
