UCSF Career Site is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to provide specimen collection services for inpatient and outpatient clients across UCSF Health sites, including Par-nassus, Mt. Zion, partnerships, and off-site clinics.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, California Phlebotomy Certification, and experience with a broad range of patient types. Proficiency in PC and MS Office is expected, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of laboratory experience or equivalent, with science courses.
• Current California State Phlebotomy Certificate required.
• Experience drawing specimens from a broad range of patients.
• Proficient with PC and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to protocol and prepare them for the lab.
• Label and distribute containers and give instructions for tests.
• Assist in bone marrow collections and clerical duties as needed.
• Process specimens for transport to the main lab and enter data into the system.
• Be flexible to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and off-site sites.
