Qualifications

• HHS Clinical Lab Scientist credential.
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate in Applied Sciences with emphasis in Medical Technology.
• Registered by a national registry (AMT, ASCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and records.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Adhere to quality control policies and log calibrations and maintenance.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Identify and report problems affecting test performance to the supervisor.
• Operate and maintain clinical analyzers and monitor patient testing QC.
• Maintain records of proficiency testing and testing validity.
• Assist with general laboratory duties and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
