Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Lab Tech Assistant for the Richmond Health Source Shared Services to support pre-analytical and analytical duties. You will register and accession orders, verify specimen acceptability, perform phlebotomy, and assist with inventory and waived testing in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requires a High School Degree or GED with Associates preferred; travel to off-site locations may be required. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Associates in Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• Laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service in a respectful manner.
• Collect blood specimens from patients following venipuncture procedures.
• Assist technologists with loading instruments, preparing reagents, and handling samples.
• Identify instrument issues and report problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Performs clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones.
• Other duties as assigned.
