Job summary

UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology in Seattle, WA has a CLT 2 opportunity with the Ambulatory Services Team at UWMC-NW Outpatient Medical Center. You will join a team of respectful lab professionals providing direct patient care and performing phlebotomy, specimen processing and rapid on-site tests.

This role offers 100% FTE, day shift, Monday–Friday, and opportunities to learn point-of-care testing, QC/QA, and operate LIS systems (Sunquest and EPIC) with guidance from

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2) years of chemical, clinical, or public health laboratory experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform stat and routine tests utilizing kit assays and point of care devices and accurately enter test results into the LIS.
• Perform quality control analyses on all tests and determine whether results are within established ranges.
• Perform phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients.
• Interpret provider test orders and prioritize specimen handling based on urgency and type.
• Prepare and process specimens for transport and testing, storing specimens under optimal temperatures.
